Joe Cordina to defend his title against Shavkat Rakhimov

IBF super featherweight champion Joe Cordina will be defending his belt against his unbeaten mandatory Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov on the undercard of Dmitry Bivol vs. Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez on November 5th at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Cordina, 30, is undefeated in the pro ranks. The Welsh fighter (15-0) won the IBF strap in his last outing when he beat Kenichi Ogawa in June, 2022.

Rakhimov, 28, has a pro record of 16 wins and 1 draw. Tajikista's finest defeated Uzbekistan's Sardor Muzaffarov in his last fight via RTD after the second round.
