There are a number of candidates to face the 28-years-old Alvarez. The WBA "Super" world super middleweight champion Callum Smith (26-0), IBF world welterweight king Errol Spence Jr. (25-0), WBO world middleweight champ Demetrius Andrade (27-0), and of course the fight everybody is craving for - former unified world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (39-1-1).
Canelo has already fought GGG twice with the first fight being an awful draw and the second a controversial win for the Mexican. GGG and Canelo are both under contract with DAZN which could be a massive boost for a potential trilogy, but as of this moment, there are no front runners.

It's a pretty sure bet that Canelo's next fight will be around Mexico Independence Day (September 16). Possible venues are once again Las Vegas, New York or Los Angeles.
