Canelo Alvarez open to potential rematch with Dmitry Bivol

Former undisputed super middleweight world champion, Mexico’s Saul Alvarez, has not ruled out a rematch with WBO, WBA and IBF light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.

“A rematch with Bivol? Why not? We’ll see in the future. If it makes sense, then we can make it happen. As I’ve said before, I always like challenges,” Alvarez was quoted as saying by Boxing News.

It should be noted that in his most recent fight, which took place on February 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Dmitry shared the ring with his compatriot Artur Beterbiev. The bout was a rematch for the fighters. The fight went the full 12 rounds and ended with Dmitry winning by majority decision (114–114, 116–112, 115–113).
