Two-time undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (24–0, 15 KOs), who currently holds the WBC/WBA/IBF titles, wants his final fight to be a trilogy bout with Britain’s Tyson Fury (34–2–1, 24 KOs), whom he defeated twice on points in 2024.
Tyson says he is confident he would win a trilogy fight but doubts he would get a decision if the bout goes the distance again.
“I would win the third fight,” Fury told Gareth A. Davies. “But the thing is, I know that if it goes the distance, they won’t give me the decision. For me, it’s like just handing him the fight before we even step into the ring. Give him the win and give me the loss.”
Just as before, Tyson remains convinced he outboxed Usyk in both their first and second fights. “But you know what? That’s just someone’s opinion again,” the British fighter added philosophically.
It is worth noting that Fury is scheduled to face Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11, while Usyk will take on Rico Verhoeven on May 23.
