Tyson Fury has revealed that he would rather face Anthony Joshua than fight for another heavyweight world title, although he is not ruling out that possibility entirely.
The British star is set to come out of retirement next month to face Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At the same time, the long-anticipated super fight with Joshua could finally materialize, especially after AJ resumed training following a serious car accident.
Fury also has other options — including a potential bout against the winner of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) title fight between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois, scheduled to take place in Manchester. However, his priority remains clear.
“The biggest fight in world boxing is me vs AJ. Even today, after all these years, it’s still the biggest fight,” Fury told Sky Sports.
He added that a potential bout against Oleksandr Usyk or another title fight are also possible, but fan interest is primarily focused on the clash with Joshua.
“Becoming world champion again sounds great. But the chance to knock out Joshua? I’d pick that,” Fury said.
