Eddie Hearn, promoter of former IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, has announced when his fighter could be expected to return to the ring.
“He has had a great last couple of days. Anthony is already back in training camp, but the return date has not been finalized yet. I think July is a realistic target for us to aim for. Training camp is his favorite place, even though it probably shouldn’t be. Considering how hard the work is there, it shouldn’t be anyone’s favorite place, but that’s how fighters are. I think Joshua is genuinely happy to be back in that routine, and we will soon begin planning his next fight,” Hearn said, as quoted by Boxingnews24.
Joshua is 36 years old. The British boxer has competed professionally since 2013. His record stands at 29 wins, 26 of them by knockout, and four losses. He is the 2012 Olympic champion and a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to boxing.
