Usyk with iconic comment on Fury’s return

Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) said he cannot fully assess the performance of Britain’s Tyson Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) in his latest fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov because he only watched half of the bout.

Overall, however, Fury’s return to the ring is a blessing for the division, the unbeaten boxer emphasized.

It should be recalled that in 2024, Usyk defeated Tyson twice on points, after which the Briton announced his retirement.

“I heard Fury say after the fight: ‘Maybe a trilogy with Usyk.’ I’m ready, but only after the fight with Верховен, because right now my focus is entirely on May 23.”

“Tyson is a crazy guy, he’s coming back for the fourth or fifth time. And that’s good,” Usyk believes.

“Right now he’s good, the division needs him. We have one or two years before the era changes,” Oleksandr noted.

“Then it will be the turn of Fabio Wardley, Moses Itauma, the young guys. We’ll relax, play football, golf, and drink beer.”
