Prenga Promises Sensation Against Joshua in Riyadh

Albanian believes he can ruin plans for Joshua-Fury mega fight

Prenga Promises Sensation Against Joshua in Riyadh

Kristian Prenga has reiterated his confidence ahead of the biggest test of his career, saying he is ready to shock the world in his fight against Anthony Joshua on July 25 in Riyadh.

The 35-year-old Albanian heavyweight boxer, still relatively unknown to the wider public, believes he is capable of delivering one of the biggest upsets in the division.

“Anthony Joshua is a great fighter, but he made a terrible mistake by choosing me as his opponent. This fight will change both of our lives. I know they have big plans and are saving Joshua for other fights, but I will ruin everything and shock the world in July,” Prenga said.

Joshua’s camp has already confirmed a new multi-fight agreement in Saudi Arabia, with the main objective remaining the long-anticipated showdown against Tyson Fury, for which a contract has reportedly already been signed.

“It’s no secret that I took time to recover so I can be fully ready for my return. This is the next step in my journey, and I’m excited about the new agreement that begins on July 25 in Saudi Arabia,” Joshua said.

The Brit also strongly hinted at his future clash with Fury.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in the ring and continuing where I left off. The landlord will collect what’s his. That’s for sure,” Joshua added, referring to his previous comparison in which he described himself as the “landlord” and Fury as the “tenant.”

Despite the big plans surrounding Joshua, Prenga is adamant that he has no intention of being used as an easy stepping stone toward the Fury fight.
