Former undisputed light heavyweight world champion Dmitry Bivol explained why he would like to have a trilogy fight with Artur Beterbiev.
“Why would I want a third fight against Beterbiev? Why not? I’m not against such a bout at all. I want to box, and this fight is interesting. It’s about giving the fans another fight. If such an opportunity comes up, why not?” Bivol said in an interview on the YouTube channel RCC: MMA & Boxing.
As a reminder, the rematch between Dmitry and Artur took place on February 23 in Riyadh. The bout went the full 12 rounds and ended with a majority decision victory for Dmitry (114–114, 116–112, 115–113). With this win, Bivol became the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division and avenged his loss to Beterbiev.
