The legend Golovkin is coming to the European Boxing Championships in Sofia

The legend of the recent past and current president of World boxing Gennady Golovkin will be a special guest at the European Boxing Championship in Sofia. The news was confirmed by the chairman of the Bulgarian Boxing Federation Krasimir Ininski. The two met during the finals of the "Belgrade Winner".

Mr. Ininski and Mr. Golovkin discussed the development of the sport and Bulgaria's place on the world stage. The former world champion among professionals and Olympic vice-champion expressed a firm opinion that Bulgaria will be an excellent host of the European Championship for men and women in September. And he confirmed his intention to visit our capital to be a part of the historic event in four months.

"We have known Mr. Golovkin for many years. He is a good friend of Bulgarian boxing, he always speaks with great respect for our school and organizational abilities. I am glad that he accepted my invitation and will do us the honor of attending the first European Championship in the history of World Boxing", Krasimir Ininski shared from Belgrade.
