Eddie Hearn, promoter of two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, has spoken about the possibility of a trilogy fight between the Briton and Ukrainian star Oleksandr Usyk.
“I don’t think so… although anything is possible in boxing. I’m sure part of Joshua will always dream about a trilogy. The same goes for Tyson Fury, who also lost twice to Usyk. It’s understandable. That’s the competitive spirit. They will always want revenge,” Hearn said.
On May 23 in Giza, Usyk will make a voluntary defense of his WBC title against Dutch fighter Rico Verhoeven.
