Darren Till and Yoel Romero Lock Eyes in Epic Bare-Knuckle Faceoff

Former UFC stars refuse to break their intense three-minute staredown ahead of September clash.

Darren Till and Yoel Romero officially kicked off promotion for their upcoming bare-knuckle boxing match yesterday with an extraordinarily tense faceoff. Meeting ahead of their headlining bout at BKFC 94, the two mixed martial arts veterans stood nose-to-nose and completely refused to break eye contact for over three and a half minutes.

The press conference took place in Manchester, England, where local favorite Till hosts the 49-year-old Cuban powerhouse on September 26 at the AO Arena. When BKFC President David Feldman tried to intervene and instruct the fighters to turn forward, both men completely ignored him. Security personnel quickly rushed the stage to form a physical barrier, yet the athletes continued glaring at each other around the bodies of the guards.

Romero firmly told the security team not to touch him, promising he would not start an early physical altercation. The mental warfare finally concluded when Till stepped back with a literal bow, allowing the promotion to separate them. This 190-pound catchweight battle marks the second appearance for both heavy hitters inside the BKFC squared circle. Years ago, Till famously joked on social media that he would fight anyone on earth except the terrifying Romero.
