The final press conference for the Ryan Garcia versus Conor Benn world title fight took an unexpected turn when multi-division champion Teofimo Lopez gatecrashed the event in full disguise. Lopez, who recently won the WBA welterweight crown by defeating Rolly Romero, blended into the media section to confront both fighters.

Wearing a cap, sunglasses, and a long fake beard, Lopez posed as a DAZN reporter using the alias "Jack Hoffman". He grabbed the microphone and directed a humorous question at Benn, jokingly asking for his thoughts on his "beard transplant." He then turned to Garcia, asking if he truly considered himself the face of boxing.

As Garcia began to reply, Lopez ripped away the fake beard and wig, revealing his true identity to loud cheers from the crowd. Both Garcia and Benn smiled and welcomed the surprise appearance, with Garcia raising his WBC belt in excitement.

By pulling off the stunt, Lopez made it clear that he is targeting a major unification bout in 2027 against whoever wins Saturday's WBC welterweight championship showdown at the T-Mobile Arena.
