Josh Warrington injured, Galahad fight on hold

The IBF world featherweight champion Josh Warrington (28-0-0) has suffered an injury that will rule him out of his upcoming mandate defense against Kid Galahad (26-0-0).

"The Leeds Warrior" was scheduled to face the 29-year-old Galahad on 4th of May in his hometown Leeds, but now the fight will be postponed so the champ can get at 100%.

For Galahad, this is nothing short of a bummer, because if he chooses to take an interim fight, he might looses and this will probably mean that his title shot is over with. If he chooses to rest, there is no telling if ring rust won't catch him.

The fight was supposed to be Warrington's second title defense in 6 months, as the last time he fought was back in December when he pummeled Carl Frampton.

Galahad's last fight was also back in December when he won on points his grudging fight with Brayan Mairena.
