Shawn Porter to return in August

Former WBC and IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter will be returning to action this August.

"Showtime" is scheduled to face Germany's Sebastian Formella on August 22. The pair will headline PBC on FOX fight night with the venue yet to be announced.

It is without a doubt a mismatch. Porter is still one of the top fighters in the division, while the undefeated Formella has never faced an opponent with the skills set of Porter.

The last time the American was seen in action was in September when he lost to Errol Spence via SD. Formella, on the other hand, was last seen inside the ring in the beginning of 2020 when he recorded his 22 victory.
