Loma - Lopes in works for October

One of the most anticipated lightweight fights in a long time is in the works for October. We're talking, of course, about the unification bout between Vasyl Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez.

Negotiations between the two camps had started yesterday with October 3rd being the targeted date. The venue is yet to be determined, with Las Vegas and New York being the heavy favors.

Lomachenko is the WBC Franchise champion, WBO, and WBA king, while the younger Lopez holds the IBF belt.

There were rumors that both fighters will have tune-up fights before they square up, but it seems they will be starting their training camps any time now.
