Luis Ortiz vs. Charles Martin set for January 1

2022 will start with a bang for boxing fans all over the world. Former WBC heavyweight challenger Luis Ortiz will be making his anticipated return to the ring against former IBF world heavyweight champ Charles Martin.

The fight will take place on January 1 at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida.

"King Kong" is coming off a 14-month layoff since he smashed Alexander  Flores by a first round knockout in November 2020.

Martin, 35, hasn't fought since February 2020 when he TKO'd Gerald Washington in the sixth round.
