Bulgaria's Georgi Stoyanov claims gold at European Youth Boxing Championships

Bulgaria's Georgi Stoyanov is the new European Youth champion in the -86 kg category.

The boxer who represents CSKA Sofia Boxing club claimed first place following a walkover victory after his Italian opponent couldn't compete in the bout.

Bulgaria's total amount of medals stands at 5 - 1 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal. Lyuboslav Metodiev (54 kg), Toni Iliev (60 kg) and Kiril Borisov (+92) lost their final matches and captured second place silverware.

Rumyana Aleksandrova (57 kg) claimed the lone bronze medal in all the women's categories. Rumyana is fighting out of Lokomotiv Sofia Boxing Club.
