Alexander Emelianenko awarded the title of Honored Worker of Physical Culture of Ingushetia

Russian mixed martial artist Alexander Emelianenko has been named an Honored Worker of Physical Culture in Ingushetia, where he underwent treatment for alcoholism. This was announced by the regional government’s press service.

By decree of the head of Ingushetia, Russian mixed martial artist Alexander Emelianenko has been awarded the title of ‘Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Republic of Ingushetia,'” the statement read.

It is noted that the honorary title was awarded for his contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in the region, as well as for his personal achievements in training athletes.

Alexander Emelianenko is 44 years old. The Russian debuted as a professional mixed martial artist in 2003 and has faced such fighters as Mirko Filipović, Josh Barnett, Sergei Kharitonov, Fabricio Werdum, Jeff Monson, Bob Sapp, and Magomed Ismailov. His MMA record is 28 wins and nine losses.
