Alisher Karmenov defeats Artem Veklych at SENSHI 8

Kazakhstan’s Alisher Karmenov scored a beautiful win yesterday at the SENSHI 8 event.

In the opening bout of the evening, he defeated Ukraine’s Artem Veklych via unanimous decision. The fight was conducted under the KWU SENSHI rules in the -65 kg category.

The fight night took place at Hotel “Marinela” in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Kazakh Kyokushin master was the one dictating the flow of the bout, doing by far the more attractive combinations and attack moves. Karmenov began his barrage with several inside low kicks that stunned Veklych.

The second round started the exact same way the first did – with some nasty exchanges and the KO was looking like was gonna drop every single moment.

As the fight went on,Veklych’s stamina started to play a bigger role in the fight because of the cleaner punches and kicks that started to land on him.

Karmenov was using the sweeps way more effectively and under the KWU Senshi rule books, they are allowed at any time.

SENSHI 8 is being conducted with the assistance of the KWU International Professional League, chaired by Shihan Ivo Kamenov, as well as with the special support of Armeec Insurance JSC, MAX Sport, Bulgaria AIR and BMW-M car.
