Atanas Bozhilov leaves no doubt who’s number 1 at SENSHI 8

Bulgaria’s Atanas Bozhilov continued his perfect SENSHI streak of wins. He defeated Italy’s Mario Nani via points after they bout went the full three rounds.

The clash was conducted under the KWU Full Contact rules in the -75 kg category.

SENSHI 8 was held at Hotel “Marinela” in Sofia, Bulgaria on May 22.

Bulgaria’s national kickboxing team skipper had to be on his toes throughout the whole time because his debutant adversary was smart and quick.

Bozhilov was the one dictating the pace and the distance of the bout, thanks to his experience and mostly to the low kicks. The home crowd hero was patient because Nani was looking to capitalize his counterattacks with the right hand.

Bozhilov was methodical in his approach and was landing some beautiful body shots and front kicks. Nani’s defence started to crumble from all the boxing combos Atanas was sending towards him. Bozhilov has once again demonstrated that his cardio is second to none and he looked smooth and contained in the final round.

In the final seconds Bozhilow rocked Nani with some brutal punches, but the Italian was going nowhere and stayed on his feet.

SENSHI 8 is being conducted with the assistance of the KWU International Professional League, chaired by Shihan Ivo Kamenov, as well as with the special support of Armeec Insurance JSC, MAX Sport, Bulgaria AIR and BMW-M car.
