Bob Arum: Joshua is overrated, Ruiz wins again

We’re just one week away from probably the biggest fight of 2019 in boxing.

On December 7 unified world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz will be entering the ring against the man he shockingly defeated on June 1 – Anthony Joshua.

As it can be expected, a lot of people are turning their heads to this clash, not only the fans. The outcome of the fight will decide the future of the heavyweight division.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum chipped in on the hot topic. The legendary manager will surely watch the fight, as two of his fighters – Kubrat Pulev and Tyson Fury are in the mix for title fights. The American gave his prediction of the fight and if you’re a Joshua fan, you won’t like it.

I think  Andy wins again. I think Joshua is overrated,” said Arum to Fighthype in analyzing the Joshua vs. Ruiz rematch.

I think Andy is underappreciated. He fought most of his fights with us, and I know how good he is.

“He has a low center of gravity, which is good against a big heavyweight. But again, at the back of Joshua’s mind is the fact that he got knocked out by this guy. So that’s a factor. How big a factor, I don’t know,” said Arum.
