Bulgaria with 7 medals from the European Taekwondo Clubs Championship

Upon Bulgaria’s Liberation day, the national taekwondo team made some big news. 7 Bulgarian taekwondists got back home with medals from the 7th European Taekwondo Clubs Championship that took place in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Stefan Stamenov captured a gold medal in the cadet 45 kg category. On his way to the first place, Stefan defeated two Greeks, one Ukrainian and in the semi-final and the final he outclassed two Spaniards.

Boris Dimov, also a cadet, won 4 of his matches and claimed the bronze in the 49 kg category.

Vladimir Dalakliev and Erika Karabelova were the other two Bulgarians with gold medals around their neck, Nikolet Kostova won silver and Dimitar Georgev and Aleksander Georgev finished third in their respective divisions.

But that wasn’t all – Viktoria Ivanova was elected as the Best judge of the tournament.

This month from March 21-24 Sofia will host the 2nd WTE Multi European Championship. Right now, there are over 1500 registered competitros.
