Celebration of youth Karate concludes in Umag

The 12th edition of the WKF Youth Camp & Cup finished on Friday in Umag (Croatia) as the tremendous impact of Karate among youngsters was once again showcased. 

After four days of celebration of youth Karate, the WKF Youth Camp & Cup concluded on Katoro Resort where the event was held. The youngsters from all over the world participating at the event gathered one final time to show their passion for the sport.

Over 1200 young karatekas aged 10 to 20 from 69 countries have met over the past four days in Umag to learn from some of the best instructors and to share experiences with other Karate fans from all over the world. Throughout the four days of activities, youngsters had the opportunity to improve their techniques in the different seminars which were presented by the instructors on site.

This edition of the WKF Youth Camp had the participation of first-class instructors such as World champion Sandra Sanchez of Spain, former World champion and member of WKF Technical Commission Luca Valdesi, newly-proclaimed European Games champion Stanislav Horuna of Ukraine, former World champion Ivan Leal of Spain, former World champion Sara Cardin of Italy, and former World champion Predrag Stojadinov of Serbia, all of them coordinated by WKF Athletes’ Commission chairman and former World champion Davide Benetello of Italy.

Instructors and youngsters alike shared their excitement for experiencing such a unique celebration of the sport and started counting the days for the 13th edition of the WKF Youth Camp & Cup to be held next year in Umag from June 29 to July 2.
