Donald Cerrone awarded 17th post-fight bonus

Entering his lightweight main event against Al Iaquinta at UFC Ottawa, “Cowboy” sat atop a throne made of 16 career post-fight bonuses, the most in UFC history. With four Fight of the Nights to go along with three Knockout, two Submission and seven Performance of the Night bonuses, it was more a question of “which one” rather than “would he” would leave Canadian Tire Centre with an extra $50,000 to his name. He would answer these questions following a 25-minute war with Iaquinta as he hoisted his son in the air to celebrate another Fight of the Night honor.

This performance also added to Cerrone’s UFC record for most total wins with 23.

For Iaquinta, this marked his second career bonus, with his previous being a Performance of the Night against Kevin Lee.

Macy Chiasson was also awarded a bonus for her second-round destruction of Sarah Moaras, while Walt Harris rounded out the bonus winners for his 50-second TKO over Serghei Spivac.
