Fighters, coaches and referees are ready for 1st European SENSHI Open

Fighters and coaches went through their last challenges before the 1st KWU European Amateur Championship by rules of the KWU Professional League – SENSHI.

Earlier today all 60 competitors went through the weigh-ins successfully which were held in hotel “Longos” in Kamchiya. They are scheduled to fight tomorrow (8.07), friday (9.07) and the finalist will square up on Saturday (10.07). The finalists will clash at the ninth edition of SENSHI and will fight for the unique European SENSHI belts.

The competitors, which represent 15 countries, are divided in 6 different categories –70, -75, -80, -85, -90, +90 kg. In each division there are 10 fighters.

After all the fighters went through the official weigh-ins a referee seminar was held. All of the head referee and judges of SENSHI simulated situations that may occur during the fights. They also discussed winning methods and when to give and not to give minus points to the competitors. The refs, who already have serious experience in the ring, showed superb knowledge and quick reactions when judging in those simulations.

Right after the referee seminar there was a technical conference in which coaches, fighters and organizers of the tournament exchanged information and clarified the rules of the bouts. There was a quick QandA session in which various topics from the regulations of KWU SENSHI and KWU Full Contact were discussed.
