International Sambo Federation postponed all competitions

Big news!

In light of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19, on the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee and the World Health Organization, the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) decided to postpone the holding of all international tournaments of its calendar for an indefinite period.

These restrictions apply until further notice, reports sambo.sport.

Last month the European Sambo Championships 2020 was moved from May 21–25, 2020 to September 17–21, 2020. The election Congress of the European Sambo Federation was forced to September 17, 2020.

The Sambo Union of Asia (SUA) also decided to put back their continental championships. The Asian Sambo Championships, as well as the Asian Youth Sambo Championships that were scheduled for June 17-20, have been postponed to the third week of September.

Other tournament dates are yet to be determined. Now all championships are postponed.
