Kubrat Pulev got his license back

Bulgaria’s heavyweight Kubrat Pulev (27-1) is able to box again in the US after his suspension was lifted yesterday by the California State Athletic Commission.

“The Cobra” was suspended indefinitely by CSAC a few months ago because of a kiss he gave to female journalist after his KO win against Romania’s Bogdan Dinu back in March. Pulev was reinstated by the CSAC after he completed the conditions of his suspension.

“I learned I should have more respect for woman,” Pulev said. “Not only me but all people should know this.”

The reporter and her attorney were in attendance yesterday, as their initial claim was the Top 10 heavyweight’s license to be revoked. After the commission’s hearing in San Diego yesterday, the 38-year-old IBF mandatory said that his next goal is to fight for the world championship until the end of 2019.
