The final hurdle before the All-Britain light heavyweight contest between Lyndon Arthur and Anthony Yarde is in the past, with both fighters making weight yesterday at the official weigh-in.
Tonight Arthur will be defending his Commonwealth light heavyweight title, but that’s not all. The contest will also serve as the final eliminator for the vacant WBO world light heavyweight belt.
“King Arthur” and “The Beast from the East” both came in at 78.9 kilos, making the fight as official as it gets.
Yarde, 29, defeated Dec Spelman a few months ago in September. Arthur, also 29, is coming off of a UD win over the same opponent in Dec Spelman.
