The slugfest’s main story was about Ibeh getting Miller’s toupée knocked out in the second round, even though Miller scored a split decision win against him.
The internet and the all the social media were took by this hilarious scene, as Miller’s toupée flopped atop his head in the closing seconds of the stanza after absorbing Ibeh’s upward punches. Miller realized that his hair wasn’t at its place only after he returned to his corner so he ripped it off and threw it into the stands.
In seconds the wig had a ringside seat next to an empty chair beside WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley. Former featherweight titleholder Skye Nicolson was also nearby and couldn’t resist the tempting photo-op.
“This is life. When you get old, s*** happens,” the self-deprecating Miller told The Ring while his partner held an icepack on his balded head.
“It was a tough night. I don’t know what’s tougher – Ibeh or this s***. All I can say is, in life, try to get your woman when you have some hair. You have to keep laughing, keep smiling, and keep having fun.”
