Morocco and Algeria scores 11 judo medals from 2019 African Games

The host nation of Morocco won 11 medals from the Judo competition that was part of the 2019 African Games. The judo tournament was held on 17 and 18 August 2019 in Rabat.

The event served as a qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Algeria is the other country with 11 total medals, both country with 2 captured golds, 5 silvers for Morocco and 3 for Algeria and 4 bronzes for the hosts and 6 captured by the Algerians judokas.

As you would expect, Egypt topped the gold medals standings with 4. “The Pharaons” added 4 bronze medals to their collection and not a single silver.

A total of 56 medals were handed at the Judo event.
