ONE FC releases first official rankings for MMA, Muay Thai and kickboxing

Asia’s finest mixed martial arts organization ONE Championship has finally released its first-ever official rankings for MMA, kickboxing and Muay Thai.

Rankings for the middleweight and light heavyweight MMA divisions – ruled by Aung La N Sang – and heavyweight MMA division, whose champion is Brandon Vera, will be added at a later date, according to a press release.

“The rankings will bring more clarity and transparency for our athletes as they chase their dreams for a world championship title,” said ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong in a statement.

The rankings will be updated after each ONE event, determined by an independent panel of media and former fighters.

The ONE independent rankings panel, as of April 27, 2020, consists of: (Tom Taylor (BJPenn.com), Stewart Fulton (MMA in Japan), Nick Atkin (South China Morning Post), Ian Shutts (Lowkick MMA), Santino Honasan (ABS-CBN), JM Siasat (GMA Network), Manabu Takashima (MMA Planet), Yuji Kitano (Abema TV Japan), James Goyder (AsianMMA.com), Marcelo Alonso (Tatame Magazine), Sazali Abdul Aziz (Straits Times), Worapath Arunpakdee (Thairath TV), Poptorn Roongsamai (Champ Magazine), Wanlop Sawasdee (MGR Online), Adam Kayoom (former fighter), Ann Osman (former fighter), Rich Franklin (former fighter), Miesha Tate (former fighter).
