PJ Barch submists 4 in a row at Sub Only Series VII

Submission Only Series returned to action on July 23 with a 16-man welterweight grand prix featuring some of grappling’s top competitors. Recent ADCC invitee PJ Barch put on an impressive performance as he submitted each of his four opponents to win the grand prix and a $5,000 cash prize.

Competing in eight-minute, submission-only matches, Barch dispatched Jeremy Pere (rear-naked choke), Brady Wicklund (heel hook), John Combs (face crank), and Chris Wojcik (heel hook).

A 10th Planet black belt, Barch has enjoyed a successful 2022 thus far. After a third-place finish at the ADCC West Coast Trials and a decision victory over Dante Leon at Grapplefest 12, Barch received an invite to the 2022 ADCC World Championships.
