The only man who beat Lomachenko in amateur rankings (VIDEO)

Before his dominance as a professional boxer, Vasyl Lomachenko cleaned up amateur titles at an alarming rate. We’re talking not one, but two Olympic gold medals. In Beijing 2008 and in London 2012.

“Loma” ended his career in amateur leagues with 396 wins and… only 1 match lost.

Albert Selimov from Russia is the only man to beat the legend. He out-pointed his counterpart 16-11 in the 2007 World Amateur Championships in Chicago.

In the end, it didn’t take long to avenge the loss. In fact, the Ukrainian managed to beat him twice, most notably at the 2008 Olympic in Beijing.
