Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua agree to location for undisputed title unification

n what appears to be a bit of a ray of sunshine on the ongoing talks to stage an undisputed heavyweight title unification between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn tells Behind The Gloves that both fighters have finally agreed to a location to host their fight — although he wouldn’t specify the venue or date at this time.

“Both sides have approved the site offer that they want to go with, and now we’re just finalizing the site deal and we’re in a great place, Hearn said. “It’s just good to say, right, we’ve got the offer, we all approve, we’re moving forward now. We’re good.

“I’m not gonna go into where it’s gonna be held but it has been agreed by both sides that the option we will take and you’ll get the date very soon and the official announcement.”

Needless to say this is an encouraging sign after recent reports and speculation that any potential Fury-Joshua fight wouldn’t actually come off by the summer, but Hearn shuts that down by affirming this summer is still the target. Hopefully we’ll have more details with an official confirmation soon.
