Tyson Fury tried to FaceTime Joshua and Hearn

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made attempted to get in touch with division rival Anthony Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom.

Hearn and Joshua are not exactly sure why Fury tried to reach them.

“I had a couple of missed FaceTime calls from Tyson the other day, so did AJ,” Hearn told IFL TV.

“I had two missed calls. I was out in the garden and came back in and had missed calls from him. Called him back and texted him saying I’d missed his call but I was around. Then spoke to AJ and said ‘I had missed calls from Tyson,’ and he said ‘you know what, so do I.’ Don’t know what he was up to, but think he was just on a wind up. I just believe AJ beats Tyson Fury and I believe he knocks him out.”

Fury has admitted in past interviews that has a bit of fun by making prank calls to Joshua.

“I call him. Sometimes I say, ‘What’s happening, AJ, what’s happening mush?’ That’s usually what I say,” Fury said.

“And then we have a little back and forth and I tell him I’m gonna knock him out, and he tells me, ‘I’m gonna knock you out,’ and I tell him, ‘After your last performance mush, you’re going to need a lot of improvement to knock me out, I tell you that.’ And he has a little laugh, we have a little laugh. It’s a bit of banter, isn’t it?”

“Just think about it, you’ve got all these heavyweight champions and all these famous sports peoples in your phone, you have a couple of beers, what you gonna do? We’re only human after all, aren’t we? It’s just me having a bit of banter with the lads. I’ve called Dillian Whyte, Wayne Rooney, I’ve called Anthony Joshua. I call them all.”
