Vitor Belfort names his next opponent (VIDEO)

Vitor Belfort has finally revealed who he’ll be fighting in his ONE FC debut.

In an interview with Asian MMA, “The Phenom” said he’s expecting to face Alain Ngalani, as the date and the venue are yet to be determined.

Yesterday the Singapore based company announced the cancelation of all May events due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Belfort’s debut date had not been officially announced and it is not yet known what weight class he will compete in. Ngalani, 44, has competed solely at heavyweight in his ONE career and is also an experienced kickboxer.

“I like it,” Belfort said of the matchup. “He’s a very tough competitor and very skilled and very strong. A big man. That’s what I’m looking for, for a good challenge.”

The Brazilian MMA legend was last seen in action at UFC 224 in 2018 when Lyoto Machida defeated him via second-round KO.

“It’s hard to see yourself in situations,” Belfort said. “The way I describe it, I’m focused on what my skills and what my strength is, not where my weakness is. That being said, I’m focused on Belfort, not on him.”
