Vladyslav Fostenko captures first SENSHI win

Ukraine’s Vladyslav Fostenko will remember his SENSHI debut with the impressive win he captured at yesterday’s SENSHI 8.

The event was held at Hotel Marinela in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Fostenko defeated Bulgaria’s Kostadin Kardzhaliiski via points in their KWU Full Contact encounter in the -90kg category.

It was a back-and-forth drama right from the get going. Fostenko was landing and Kardzhaliiski was returning the favor. Bulgaria’s multiple national champion was looking lazy defending himself sometimes, as his Ukraininarival managed to land some sweet knees to the head of Kostadin.

Kostadin answered with some fast high kicks but got counted with brilliant hooks to the head of the storming Fostenko. The second part was also even, with Kardzhaliiski being the one looking to finish the round strong with a barrage of shots to the body, using the elevator and doing damage on all levels.

Fostenko was great in his counterattacks and was always picking smart shots, doing the better job of the two regarding moving backwards and playing from his back foot.

It was one of the most energetic fights and in the third round they were both spent, but Fostenko got the win thanks to his outstanding counterattacks and outside work.

SENSHI 8 is being conducted with the assistance of the KWU International Professional League, chaired by Shihan Ivo Kamenov, as well as with the special support of Armeec Insurance JSC, MAX Sport, Bulgaria AIR and BMW-M car.
