According to ESPN, a featherweight title bout is set between champion Max Holloway (20-4) and former UFC lightweight titleholder Frankie Edgar (23-6-1) for the upcoming UFC 240 on July 27 in Edmonton, Canada.
This is not the first time these two guys are about to face each other. Back in 2017 “Blessed” and “The Answer” were on their way to meet inside the Octagon, but Edgar withdrew from UFC 218 with an injury and Jose Aldo stepped in as a replacement.
Soon after that, the same scenario happened, this time Holloway pulling out because of an injury.
The 37-years-old vet last fought in April 2018 when he outclassed Cub Swanson via UD. The 27-year-old champ, on the other hand, lost his last clash against Dustin Poirier last April in the main event of UFC 236.
