It’s a Twitter war, people! Sadly this is about as close as we get to some of the fights we’d most like to see, but I’ll take them as they come. The latest is between welterweight titleholder Terence Crawford and lightweight titleholder Gervonta Davis.
It was clear that Crawford wasn’t too impressed by Davis’ most recent performance against common foe Yuriorkis Gamboa this past weekend, and let off a few shots on Twitter by advising Davis to stay away from Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko before then sending this message
Tank fought a 38 outta prime fighter with a Torn Achilles and barley KO him 😂😂 Gamboa haven’t fought in a meaningful fight since me in 2014 and after that he got stopped by a guy with 12 losses and y’all making it seem like he do something spectacular😂

Davis, never one to back down in social media confrontations, quickly clapped back at Crawford for getting clipped by Gamboa in their own lightweight fight several years ago.
That same guy (Gamboa) touched you up the first 4-5 rounds and you was the bigger guy and he hurt you…I never lost not one rd..he barley touched me and I moved up in weight! https://t.co/1F6TexWZ8T
