UFC lightweight champion – Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0) was a guest in a “Q&A” session in Melbourne, Australia, where he recounted his historic fight with Conor McGregor at UFC 229.
“I lost control.
I talked with my father before the fight and he told me to relax and ignore Conor’s talking. After it was all over, my father tried to yell at me, but I told him that we discussed my actions and behaviour before and during the fight, not afterwards. I enjoyed the bout. It was really nice, believe me”, “The Eagle” said, before the crowd started laughing.
“I was enjoyng all the moments when I was connecting with my shots. I was calling him on to talk now. I remeber telling him that tihs isn’t sparring and I’ll continue to maul him, but I guess he couldn’t understand my english.”
Khabib also said that he expects to be punihsed for 9 months for the melee he caused after the fight. The case will take place on 29th of January.
