Bellator’s featherweight champion Patricio Freire will have his hands full in his next title defense.
The Brazilian will face Portugal’s Pedro Carvalho at Bellator 251 on November 12. The two will be squaring off in the main event of the evening.
Initially, they had to meet back in March, but the event got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Freire, 33, is the current featherweight and lightweight champion of Bellator MMA. He is undeniably one of the biggest names in the organization, making his debut way back in 2010.
“Pitbull” hasn’t fought since last September when he defeated Juan Archuleta, defending his featherweight belt for a third straight time after he reclaimed the throne back in 2017.
Carvalho, 25, is on a six-fight winning streak, as this will be his first shot at the Bellator featherweight title.
