Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk has stressed out that he won’t be waiting around for the unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Usyk, 33, is the WBO mandatory challenger and is next in line after Kubrat Pulev who is set to face “AJ” on December 12 in London. Usyk is fresh off of a victory over Derek Chisora and after the fight, he said that Joshua must defend the WBO strap or relinquish it.
“I am the mandatory for Joshua so he has two options.
“One; to fight me. Two; to vacate and to go and fight Fury.
“Either he fights me or relinquishes. I am waiting. I am ready. My goal is not to be just a world champion, but to be the undisputed champ”, Usyk added.
The Ukrainian is a former undisputed cruiserweight champion.
