Anthony Joshua is still the unified heavyweight champion following his KO victory against Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev.
Joshua,31, was the better man throughout the whole fight and was selective with his shots, showcasing his explosive power when he needed to.
After the fight, the Brit said he was the smartest man of the two.
“What can I say, this is the fight game, at the same time I’m not in competition with anyone apart from myself,” he said following the bout.
“I’m staying true to myself, learning every day, I get older, I get wiser, I learn that this boxing game is chess and not checkers. I play a smart game and I make the right moves at the right time.”
“Round nine, I got the knockout and onto the next. It’s always good to see some great boxing.
“I started this game in 2013. I’ve been chasing all the belts. I’ve been dealing with mandatories.
“Of course I want the challenge. It’s not about the opponent, it’s about the legacy and the belt. Whoever has got the belt, I would love to compete with them. If that is Tyson Fury, let it be Tyson Fury. It’s no big deal.
“It’s one fight at a time, picking them off one by one. That’s all it’s about for me. I’ve got to stay focused.”
