Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno fight to draw in UFC flyweight thriller

UFC 256’s main event didn’t disappoint, as Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno fought a Fight of the Year contender yesterday in Las Vegas.

The clash for the flyweight title ended in a majority draw (48–46, 47–47, 47–47). Figueiredo retains his title because of the draw which was only the fourth one in the history of UFC title fights.

Both men went straight to attack right from the get-go. They had similar aggressive styles that led to a lot of exchanges. No one really had control of the fight, as both fighters sat in the drivers’ seat for a certain period of the bout.

Figueiredo and Moreno both competed at UFC 255 on Nov. 21 — just three weeks ago. At UFC 255, Figueiredo finished Alex Perez via guillotine choke – the fastest submission in UFC flyweight history (1 minute, 57 seconds), while Moreno beat Brandon Royval via first-round TKO.
