UFC bantamweight contender Aljamain Sterling overcame enormous adversity long before he stepped into the octagon.
On Monday, the UFC released a short film entitled Not Broken featuring Sterling and his family as they discuss his difficult childhood growing up with an abusive and negligent father. In the video, Sterling explains how finding wrestling not only put him on the path to MMA greatness, but also gave him inspiration in life.
Some things I buried and just never talk about… This was a really difficult piece to express myself but I honestly felt a big burden was lifted off my shoulders. I hope this can help anyone to defy the oddshttps://t.co/iUaqoIiJ37
