Young American prospect Devin Haney will be fighting a true legend of the game in his next outing. The young American will be facing former three-divisions world champion Jorge Linares on May 15 in the US.
Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn revealed the news last Friday. The venue of the fight is yet to be confirmed.
Haney, 22, will be defending his regular WBC lightweight title. That will be his first fight since last November when he defeated Yuriorkis Gamboa via UD.
Linares, 35, will be looking to regain the green and yellow belt that was his property several years ago. The last time Linares fought was in February 2020 when he beat Carlos Morales via KO in the fourth round.
