The World Boxing Organization has issued a Show Cause Notice to the WBO Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, giving him 48 hours to commence negotiations for a title defense against his WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk.
Ukraine’s Usyk is now in a great position to face the man he’s been chasing for the last two years since he moved up in the heavyweight division.
After a US arbitration court ordered a third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, the undisputed fight between “AJ” and “The Gypsy King” is pretty much dead for now.
That leaves Joshua with no other option than to fulfill his mandatory obligations and to face the former undisputed cruiserweight king.
