Russia’s finest freestyle wrestler Abdulrashid Sadulaev captured his fifrth World Championships yesterday at the World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway.
The two-time Olympic champion dominated in the -97 kg category, winning all of his four matches comfortably. Sadulaev defeated wrestler from Japan, Belarus and Ukraine, setting another clash with the American Kyle Snyder.
The pair met in the final of the Tokyo Olympic Games two months ago, with Sadulaev taking the W with a 6-3 result. This time many believed Snyder learned from his mistakes, but the Russian’s dominance left Kyle no chance and beat him again – 6:0 in favour of Sadulaev.
The triumph meant that Russia captures the team title in the freestyle wrestling with a total of 173 points. USA came second with 168 points.
