One of the most highly anticipated fight in the world of MMA between UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and the interim champion Cyril Gane will probably headline the upcoming UFC 270 event which is set for January 22 next year.
The French outlet La Sueur was the first say so and a lot of American websites are citing it.
The fight between the two will mark Ngannou’s first title defense. “The Predator” captured the belt in March when he KO’d Stipe Miocic.
Then he had to fight Derrick Lewis since the promotion failed to organise a potential fight between Ngannou and Jon Jones. Unfortunatelly, that fight fell off to and Lewis faced Cyril Gane for the interim belt in August.
The French managed to outclass Lewis and secured the W via TKO in the third round. As of this moment, there’s nothing official form UFC.
Also targeted for the UFC 270 fight card is the middleweight title fight between current champion Israel Adesanya and former division titleholder Robert Whittaker. The winner will likely move on to face the winner of Derek Brunson vs. Jared Cannonier, who also collide on Jan. 22 in “Sin City.”
